Mahasamadhi Bhandara (September 5–7, 2025)
- What it is: This is the most significant event in September, commemorating the day Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaj-ji) attained Mahasamadhi.
- Key dates: The three-day event will be observed from Friday, September 5, to Sunday, September 7, 2025.
- Significance: The ceremony coincides with Anant Chaturdashi, an important date on the Hindu calendar. The ashram observes this occasion with devotion and distribution of prasad.
- Daily rituals: The Mahasamadhi anniversary is traditionally marked with kirtans (devotional songs), spiritual discourses, and seva (selfless service).
Daily temple program
For visitors on days outside of the special Bhandara, the daily routine at the ashram is as follows:
- Temple opening: The Kainchi Dham temple generally opens around 7:00 AM.
- Evening Aarti: The evening Aarti is typically held at approximately 5:15 PM.
- Peak season advisory: September can be a popular time for devotees. For a less crowded experience, visitors are advised to arrive early in the morning.
September 2025 cosmic and spiritual journey (September 19–21, 2025)
An organized tour package combines a visit to Kainchi Dham with stargazing and other activities in Nainital.
- Included activities: The trip features stargazing using powerful telescopes, trekking, bonfires, and jamming nights.
