Baba Neem Karoli departed from this world on the sacred land of Vrindavan, on this auspicious day of Anant Chaturdashi.

How Did Neem Karoli Baba Pass Away?

On the night of September 11, 1973, Neem Karoli Baba was at his ashram in Vrindavan when his health suddenly began to decline. He was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Despite the doctors’ efforts to assist him by placing an oxygen mask on him, Baba declined to use it. He calmly informed his devotees that his time had come. He then requested Tulsi leaves and Gangajal, the holy water from the Ganges. After receiving these sacred items, Neem Karoli Baba peacefully left his body at around 1:15 a.m.
